Tax Forms

2008 Federal and State tax forms are now available as of 1/23/2009

CURRENT YEAR TAX FORMS: The library receives common current year state and federal tax forms beginning around the first of the year. These forms are made available as they arrive, and are available while supplies last. Other forms may be printed out at the library for $.10 per page. We ask that patrons not take more copies of any forms than they need, since it is usually difficult to order additional forms. Reproducible forms are usually provided as well for photocopying at the library ($.10 per copy).

If you plan on filing electronically: You may use the library's public computer stations for online tax preparation - however, the security and privacy of your information cannot be guaranteed, and it is always a possibility that technical issues beyond the libraries control may interrupt or otherwise cause problems with the process. More importantly, the library cannot guarantee that you will have adequate time to finish your work, and some tax websites do NOT alow you to save your progress.

The library plans to offer open computer lab access, in February and March, for patrons who would like to file their taxes online. Volunteers may be on hand to offer technical advice; however, for legal reasons, library staff cannot assist you with filling out any forms, nor can they give out any tax-related advice. Dates and times for these sessions are to be announced.
